Choora (Family Event)
A choora (or chura; plural chooriyan) is a set of bangles traditionally worn by a bride on her wedding day and for a period after, especially in Punjabi weddings. The bride's maternal uncle and aunt give her a set of chooriyan. Punjabi custom has it that the bride may refrain from heavy housework in her marital home to keep it intact for the 40 days, as a kind of honeymoon.

Jaggo

WHAT TO BRING:
It's common for this event for money to be rotated around the bride and groom and later donated to charity. This is to cleanse the bride and groom of any negative energy. So bring your singles!
You may also want to bring an extra pair of sneakers since there will be lots of dancing!
WHAT TO WEAR:
For this event, women wear their snazziest punjabi-style suits, and men typically wear a Kurta Pajama. Both women and men wear a flat shoe called Jutti, but some women opt for heels.
